The Russian House Library has existed since 1970 and was housed in various rooms over the years. Many donated books were stored. The building currently occupied by the library was renovated and extended in 2006-2008 with funds provided by Russian House, government grants and donations from Mr Oleg Janovsky and Keskevich family in whose honour the library is named.

Cataloging and sorting of books took several years – work was carried out by Russian House committee members and volunteers. The Russian House Library once again opened its doors at the end of February 2010, but cataloging continued and was only completed at the end of 2011.

The library has over 12,000 books in Russian by Russian and non Russian authors.

Books are categorized by topics – just the Russian Classical literature has more than 4000 volumes. There are also many periodicals, dictionaries, children books, encyclopedias and reference books. All books of religious and spiritual nature have been transferred to the church library in Brunswick.

Library hours – every Thursday 10.30 am till 2.30 pm and every Saturday 12 pm till 3 pm.
